Franz Leopold Neumann

Franz Leopold Neumann (ur. 23 maja 1900 r., Katowice - zm. 1954 r., Visp , Szwajcaria ) - niemiecki politolog , lewicowo-liberalny aktywista i obrońca sądowy ruchu pracowniczego, profesor Columbia University w Nowym Jorku .

Od 1919 r. był członkiem SPD . Ukończył studia prawnicze, pracował na uczelni. Po dojściu Hitlera do władzy emigrował; przez pewien czas był wykładowcą London School of Economics . Od 1942 r. był ekspertem ds. niemieckich w instytucjach rządowych w USA , a od 1950 r. profesorem Columbia University. Najbardziej znany z analiz teoretycznych narodowego socjalizmu . Zginął w wypadku drogowym.
